This was a delightful read! I love the orange thread throughout, and my preschooler and I regularly talk about being both brave and scared.

Thank you, Alyssa! Those conversations with our preschoolers feel so sacred sometimes, I swear. I love that you're having those, too.

“Enneagram One Tries to be a Fun Mom™” had me LOL. I feel your pain. Here's my own: Win: taking the kids to Dairy Queen to celebrate their last regular-season baseball games. Fail: Not warning them about this plan, so they whined and cried about the change in routine. (aka we usually visit the baseball concession stand.) I mean, really, how dare I?? Also: Shiny, Happy People. Oof. So good. The reach those teachings had (still have?) is truly astounding.

Lolol how dare you?! I love it. It sounds like something my oldest might also find troubling 😂 Also, yes to SHP. Can’t wait to talk with you more about this one. 😵‍💫

“Letting go is for forever. Scared and brave is for keeps.” You were inside my head with this intro ❤️

I’m also adding the 100 reading lessons book to my cart. You’re the FIFTH person to recommend it! Haha. It is time. Our girls are so close in age!

Something about those summer swim moments really hit you with the metaphors! Love it!

Hahahah I love this. I also am Enneagram One Tries to Be a Fun Mum 😬😬

I took my kids to an old school arcade this week with race car driver games and air hockey. My Dad called me about my grandmother who has dementia and all the things she is forgetting. I walked out of the arcade on the phone with my children, keys, and phone (win) but without my purse, prescription sunnies and umbrella (fail!). The umbrella I had was one my friend gave me at school run because I had lost mine and was walking around in the rain. But the funniest part is that I didn’t even realise all my possessions were gone until a day later when a woman turned up to my house with my purse. I always use Apple Pay and only pulled my purse out for the arcade games 😂

Lolollll Bec, this got me good. What a weird coincidence that you were talking about forgetting while you were smack in the middle of forgetting!
