I finally had a chance to sit down and read this and I just loved it so much. 💛 “A Catalog of Mercies” -- yes💛💛 Also can’t wait to go through some of your Maggie Smith recs and I need to watch A Man Called Otto now.

So lovely and relatable. I've lost count of all the last minute cancellations we've had to send out this last month (year?) too, but there really is always grace. And that Maggie Smith poem. Wow. Loved reading this!

Seriously! I can relate. Here's to more health and sunshine this summer! Thanks for reading, friend.

This was lovely. And WHY does the s**t ALWAYS hit the fan the first day of a work trip? I swear that's how it goes every. single. time.

Haha it really, REALLY does. It's like one of Newton's Laws—whatever crap happens *must* happen while solo parenting. Lol. Thank goodness for sweet friends and family though.

What a beautiful depiction of gratitude in the shadow of the valley of thrush. We also had a very sick May that coincided with a very busy work season for my husband, and I'm quite sure I wasn't tallying mercies most of the time. I loved reading this and wish you a germ-free summer. (Also we LOVED My Father's Dragon!!)

Lol, Liz, let the record show there were many, many moments where I was not tallying mercies, either. Wishing your family health these coming months, too. And YES, we're on Chapter 7 of My Father's Dragon and it is SO much better than I even dreamed it would be!

Love this reminder to look for the small mercies in our day-to-day, Krista. Wishing you an uneventful (at least health-wise) summer!

Also thanks for the link to My Father's Dragon. I've been wanting to get into chapter book read alouds with my 3 year old. This looks perfect.

Oh I'm glad it's a helpful rec for you guys! It's a really sweet read—some of the vocabulary is a bit difficult but sometimes I make word swaps. Even still, I'm surprised how much my 4 year old is getting out of it!
